Would A CEO Pay Me To Do That?

Have you ever wanted to start your own business, be your own boss, work how you want to? All the “experts” say do something you are passionate about, something that you are really interested in. I am toying with the idea of starting my own business but I don’t really have a passion for one particular thing. I have lots of interests, talents and experiences but they don’t fit neatly in the mold of a specific job. Plus, I spent the last 12 years selling media advertising, and we know how short sighted recruiters and hiring managers can be about experience. What are my talents you might want to know? I am articulate, I try to speak straight to the point, not mince words. I am good at communication, which I think is so lacking in todays workplace. Managers can’t seem to communicate what they want then get angry when their subordinates are able to read their minds. I am good at selling, revenue generation, beating quotas blah blah… Selling is all about psychology, you have to make other people want what you have. I have excelled at building relationships with clients over the years, decades; where they trust me as a valued partner rather than some sales guy trying to land a big fish. I have good instincts, know when to pull back or push forward. I can be extremely demanding in my personal life there for with my clients I treat them in such a way that they won’t need to demand anything more. Now, the point of my writing this morning is not to blow my own horn; that doesn’t do me any good and I am sure its not all that interesting to anyone reading this. My point is, what to do with all of this experience, this kind of talent, basically where to go from here. I would like to start a business but don’t know what kind of business that would entail. I guess one thing I am passionate about is peoples voices being heard, people on the front line being able to communicate directly with CEOs. Unhappy staff’s lead to people not really caring about their jobs and thus not putting their all into it. And this of course leads to lower output, productivity and revenue. But would a CEO, or lots of CEOs pay me to teach them how to make their comp
