The Hate Speech Must Stop Yes I am Talking to You: Trump, Santorum, Palin

ct-kkk-chicago-flashback-0125-20150123

Our Nation has lost its way. We have politicians who will say anything, pander to the worst elements of our Nation. Just to get elected into office. This is a stain on our Country and shows a complete lack of values.

It is killing people.

What did that nameless blonde boy say as he slaughtered 9 innocent people? He said, ‘it’s time to take our Country back.’ Where have we heard that before? Too many places to mention. Sarah Palin, Donald Trump just to name a few.

Now, I am not blaming your idiotic and callous words for the murder of innocents but it’s time we all took a good look in the mirror and see where these radical views come from. You can’t casually say, ‘let’s take our Country back’ and not understand that there are people you are motivating by your words. You, in fact are, in my mind, an accessory to the crimes.

If you are a candidate and want to express your views of how to make things better. By all means, express yourself. If you are insecure and shallow enough that you can’t say ‘my ideas are better’ but instead say our Country is filled with rapists you have no business being on the political stage. And, if you are a competitor of that kind of thought process and language and refuse to condemn it. You are as much to blame as the Donald speaking like an un-watched over child and saying anything he wants to get attention.

Donald, you are encouraging violence but your moronic words and need to think about what you say. To you, this is a big ego boost. To many in this Country who are hurting from our lousy economy your words validate their feelings and encourage them to violence.

What was the inspiration of today’s blog post? Rick Santorum. Rick, in a pathetic attempt to stay relevant with the ever shrinking base has called for a Constitutional Amendment banning gay marriage. Yes, we have heard the same old story from him for more than a decade. Yes, he is a 3x loser in trying to become POTUS. Yes, his state voted him out of office in staggering percentages, rarely seen.

So, Rick, since you are such an alleged bible thumper and want everything in that text to be law why have I never heard you talking about ways to curb divorce. To curb infidelity. Instead of the shameless pro life stance you take where is your call for sexual education for young people so they will know their options and help reduce unwanted pregnancies?

Never once have I heard you talk about any subject as passionately as you do about denying gay rights. What you probably don’t understand is that you are, through your hatred, encouraging not only violence against the LGBT community but also making the community think there is something wrong with them. The number of suicides in the LGBT community is staggering.

Your posturing to gain votes could possibly be costing people their lives.

I won’t go into the implications of those that protest too much have something to hide. Or Bill Maher’s comments of your being more obsessed with gay men than gay men are.

I will say this. You are a despicable human being. Religion should teach love, not hatred

Santorum, Romney, Obama — We Deserve Better

Yesterday I was watching the Sunday News shows, as usual, and was appalled at an interview on Meet The Press conducted by Savannah Guthrie.  She was interviewing Rick Santorum, she could not have been more condescending, shrill or quite frankly obnoxious.  She must have asked him 4 times if he was getting out of the race, she interrupted him many times.  She made reference to, at one point, asking Mr. Santorum if he understood what she was saying, accusing him basically of being stupid.  I have only seen Ms. Guthrie one other time when she hosted MTP, and I was equally unimpressed then.  Nothing she did in particular then stuck out in my mind, just that she was a rude woman who  talked down to her guests and constantly interrupted them, almost like a pit bull.  The encounter with Rick Santorum should be looked at by NBC, they should never have her moderate that show again; it was a complete embarrassment.

Now I am no fan of Rick Santorum, as an openly gay proud married (to another man) man I think his views on homosexuality outrageous.  He keeps talking about his religious beliefs, which are very disturbing.  I am not religious at all, but I would think (hope) that the main principles in all religions would be to love and except all other people, respect their religious beliefs as you want them to respect yours and to not judge people.  Rick breaks each and every one of those principles.  He can believe whatever he wants, but he needs to accept other people have other beliefs, instead he just spouts his beliefs like a child, without once voicing support for other peoples beliefs.  This in itself should be a sin.   How do you pick and choose what you want to believe from the bible?  The bible says women are the property of their husbands; slavery is fine; people should be stoned to death for things like adultery, its ok to kill your neighbor if you see him working on a Sunday.  All of this can be overlooked, but the party about being gay he clings on to.  Guess what Rick, maybe god put gay people here for population control.  I think you are a disgrace to the Catholic religion, not just for your bigoted stance on gays but also for your closed mindedness and lack of respect for people who have differing views than you do.  You seem to have no compassion for anyone with differing views.

Just a few words on Mitt Romney; a car elevator?  Its ok to be rich, its fantastic actually, but the things you say not only make you seem out of touch with main stream Americans, they make you seem like you are from another planet.  I have never seen a candidate who is so awkward, so stiff and robotic, so opinion less.  I certainly hope that you are not the nominee, and certainly not ever president of this country.

Barack, I’ve said it a thousand times on this blog, why can’t you get better messaging?  Why?  Everyone hates the healthcare bill because no one knows whats in it.  Everyone thinks you are doing a mediocre job because you don’t talk about your accomplishments.  The Republicans have painted a picture of you and most of our country is believing it.

Question Everything – Why, What, How?

I am the kind of person who does question everything, some people think thats a negative trait, I think its a realistic way to live.  In my last job, selling print and digital advertising solutions for a global well known brand, the people in charge (mgrs) would always come up with new ways to cash in on our brand; a new section, a new insert, a new anything to get advertisers to spend more.  I always asked why, why would such+such advertiser want to be in that section; instead of the normal response which would have been “why do you think that” or “lets talk it out” I was labelled as negative for even bringing up the fact advertisers wouldn’t like the section.  The, for a double whammy when no one would buy into the section I would be told I wasn’t selling hard enough.  In business always think like the end user, what will they want, and in your head ask why for them. Why is this good for them.

Others Whys; Why does Mitt Romney talk about bombing Iran and say that the President isn’t imposing tough sanctions on Iran.  Then in the next breath he complains about oil prices.  Does he not know that Obama has put in place the most crippling of sanctions on Iran ever imposed?  Does he not know that threatening war with Iran will destabilize the oil markets, thus raising the price of crude oil and in turn raising gas prices.  Of course he knows all of this, how stupid, or uninformed are the citizens of this country.  How uninformed are we?  Why don’t people know these things?  Why doesn’t the media do their homework and ask him these questions?   Why is Rick Santorum telling us he only has sex for procreation?  He picks and chooses which of the churches doctrines to follow and which not to follow.  Why would anyone want to discourage birth control or sex education for the young?  This could cut down on single parents, poverty, and abortions.  Family Values, why blame gay people, why not talk directly to the str8 people who make a mockery of marriage.

My ‘Why’ questions can, and do, go on forever.  Like I have said before, I think most people in this country are lead around like sheep, living their lives as they were laid out for them by their parents or society.  Its the very few people that question everything.  People who question the status quo tend to be leaders.  My question for this morning is Why can’t I find some sort of business venture to lead, to ask why.  Anyone have any ideas?

The Republican Pres Candidates Make Me Ashamed to be an American – Brzezinski

I was watching the Sunday news shows yesterday and this quote stood out in my mind.  Mr. Brzezinski was talking about how Obama knows more about the world than any other president in modern history; when asked about the Republican Presidential candidates, he said they made him ashamed to be an American.  You know what, I feel the same way.

Rick Santorum – The things that come out of his mouth are astounding and dangerous.  One most only wonder if he has any kind of self filter, meaning he has more outrageous views.  Lets start with his calling Obama a “snob” because he wants to make college affordable to all.  This is a reckless and dangerous comment.  One of the United States’ biggest challenges is to stay competitive in the globalization of the worlds economy; encouraging kids not to go to college, or saying not going is ok is completely unacceptable.  Positions like this, desperate election sound bites, could lead to a decline in the future of America.  Not to mention, going to college gives you a leg up in the workforce, offers higher overall pay.  The unemployment rate for college grads today is 4%; and here is Rick Santorum saying having the goal of helping kids go to college is being a “snob”.  Wanting to vomit over the separation of church and state?  If I am not mistaken that is one of the founding principles of this country.  Attacking JFK.  This might be too nuanced for a simpleton like Santorum to understand but what Kennedy was saying was the Church won’t rule the country he will; that does not mean that his views are an accumulation of a lifetime of his experiences, including going to and being around people who were devout followers.  Rick’s views on women in the workplace are absurd.  His views on gay rights are bigoted and unacceptable.

Mr. Santorum is a disgrace to this country; if he ever were to become President he could single handedly bring down the prestige, power and goodness of America and make it a laughing stock.  Sarah Palin would be a better choice!
